Galerie d'Art Viva Vida presents Illuminated Spaces, a solo exhibition of artworks by Andrea Blanar, curated by Nedia El Khouri.
Andrea Blanar’s Illuminated Spaces, is a collection of paintings and sculptural pieces where the exploration of light, space and the aesthetic appreciation of Nature is celebrated both in the physical and in the sublime. Portals, windows and boxes become the narrative through which associations are explored.
These narratives are ethereal stories, a search for meaning in the objects of daily life. Vehicles through which the artist and spectator communicate, discover, and perhaps re-examine their connection to a higher order, “situating oneself within the universal continuum of life.”
Blanar lives and creates in Montréal and spends het summers in Pointe de Bute, New Brunswick. She has received numerous awards, and het work is founds in various private and public collections.
