All rhythm guitar parts played by Yui Hirasawa (平沢 唯) on Giita (ギー太) & Azusa Nakano (中野 梓) on Mut-tan (むったん) in the full version of S2 OP2!!
I use these for 3D music in VRC but I want to share them because the quality is so uniquely high!
This distinction isn't canon I just thought it would be cool to isolate the guitars like this!
This must be the most dynamic K-On song there is and it's one of my favorites! That's why I wanted to do something special to show all the tracks that are playing for one character as best as I could which I think turned out amazing! The cover art being in front of a whiteboard helped inspire that, which I made a blackboard for better contrast! I tried to keep the original stereo as much as possible, and where I couldn't - the panning as close to original as possible! I designated the all-track guitars to Azusa because it sounded better in her track. Some could've supposed to have been Yui's parts. The slightly harsh transitions from rhythm III to I were in the original track.
The frog mascot shows the tracks that play in every track after the first step of isolation, which means they weren't removed from any of the 'karaoke' CD tracks. I tried to remove as much of these as I could, but the FX are pretty much impossible with my method. The FX are also tricky because after the start they're confusingly quieter in Yui and Mugi's tracks and louder in others. The last guitar somehow could not be removed from other tracks.
Color meanings: Green = unaltered isolated track. Lime green = minor panning changes or mono render if lead guitar. Yellow = unavoidable major panning or volume changes. Red = phase cancelled out. White = not playing. Gray/Desaturated = not relevant for current track.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
No AI or other filters were used at all. I used the tracks from Azusa & Yui that I isolated before for this one. With those tracks I tried to isolate as much of the rhytm guitars from the lead guitars as possible, which worked out nicely. It's all 2dB quieter than the original to prevent noise peaking. These rhytm guitars are panned mostly in their normal stereo state, but where the leads had to be removed they are panned 85 to 100% left or right to their respective sides like in the original, except for one part where this wasn't possible, all signified by the icon colors. Look at the tutorial I made in the playlist description for more details:
• Go! Go! MANIAC - All Isolated Tracks in HD...
I think the very quiet parts from the other instruments carrying over is mostly from compression differences between the tracks, although I kinda like it like that. It feels like the sound is bleeding over from them wearing headphones playing along to the song or something.
Thanks for listening, use this as you wish!
