For the first time we taste a Spanish wine, the second most important grape which is typical of the Mediterranean basin and called differently as you see in Italy!
Many common points but still different styles for these 2 wines from high altitudes, a great way to compare same grape from different regions!
To me, Garnacha is becoming more and more relevant lately with top quality expressions in many cases, in particular some Chateauneuf du Pape in South Rhône that can reach incredible heights of finesse especially from very old plantations!
