The Defence Acquisition Council has approved the proposal for buying 156 LCH Prachand choppers. Prachand choppers are very agile combat helicopters used for carrying out multiple tasks even at high altitude. The made-in-India LCH Prachand has given a tremendous boost to Indian Air Force’s capability. Air Chief Marshal VR Chaudhari said that no need for India to import attack helicopters after LCH Prachand. The procurement of the Light Combat Helicopters demonstrates the force’s commitment towards ‘Atmanirbharta’.
