I've made this myself, using an inductor, a resistor 100 HOm, a BC457 transistor, and a capacitor. I've used a 3300 microfarad, 35-volt capacitor.

The inductor creates a magnetic field, and the transistor switches it on and off. When the transistor switches, the inductor's magnetic field is cut off, and it tries to maintain its field by creating an even stronger one.

When the transistor switches on and off, the magnetic field is cut off and then increases again. This process increases the voltage as well. That's how a voltage booster works!"
