CHOOSING and WORKING WITH classic car garages and restoration companies - tips & advice

Описание: In today's video, tips and advice on choosing a garage to work on your classic car, how to deal with classic car restoration companies, keeping track of progress on your restoration project, playing fair with garages and workshops entrusted with your classic, and more besides.
These are my nuggets of advice having been around old cars for a loooong time, and having employed many garages and classic car restoration companies over the years to do work on my old vehicles, whether small jobs or, as has been well documented on Old Classic Car before, a particularly epic restoration to an old truck. If you're preparing to have a classic car restored, whether a full stripdown or a partial rebuild, hopefully there'll be useful information in this video.
The idea behind this video was to present some of my tips and advice on the matter, and encourage viewers to wade in with their own comments on how to choose a garage/restoration company to work on your car, and keep the relationship productive throughout the work. The combination of this upload, added to the added advice that watchers will hopefully add into the comments section should, combined, give a lot of useful information to anyone faced with choosing and working with a restorer, garage, specialist workshop or restoration company.
If you're currently asking yourself questions such as "who do I trust to work on my classic car?", "how to choose a restorer for my classic car?", or "how do I find a restorer for my classic car?" then hopefully this will be of use.
Much of this information also applies to later cars and dealing with garages and specialists for them also.
