A recent report from The Mirror revealed that Brian May was shocked by the claim that Freddie Mercury had a secret daughter.

Anita Dobson said when she heard the news she was also shocked and asked Brian May about this. She said
“I went ‘what?’ I thought no’? And I said to Brian: ‘Do you know about this?’ And he said: ‘Do you believe this?’”

Brian’s reaction was one of pure disbelief.

This headline-grabbing claim was made by Freddie’s biographer, Lesley-Ann Jones, who wrote in her book Love, Freddie that Freddie have fathered a child in 1976 whom she calls B - after an affair with the wife of a close friend.
Jones also stated she has DNA evidence and claims that Freddie gave the alleged daughter volumes of personal journals.

But Anita is convinced that Freddie was too big a star for the news to have not leaked before

She said: “There must be lots of people who have children that we don’t know about. It’s just because it’s him. Because he’s iconic. And the type of animal that he was, it seems inconceivable that he would have a child with someone we don’t know about.

Anita added: “If he does have one where is she - step forward. If she exists. Maybe it is just more fake news.”

Anita’s comments come after the book claimed that Freddie had told his bandmates Brian May, Roger Taylor and John Deacon and some inner circle like Mary Austin about the existence of the love child.
