Okantomi,
This song in Spanglish and Yoruba talks openly about the challenges that immigrants face in Canada. But the fact that we have the freedom to talk about our experiences reminds us that many people around the world, including our friends and family back in Cuba, do not always enjoy that same freedom of expression or right to peaceful protest .

The song also talks about how staying connected to our roots and beliefs allow us to feel the protection of our gods.

We are very proud that the track features the incredible Latin-Grammy & Grammy-nominated guitarist Elmer Ferrer, putting us in the very fine company of the artists he has worked with previously, such as Juan Formell & Los Van Van, Chucho Valdes, Silvio Rodriguez, Natalie MacMaster, and Sting!
