Story About Dainthlen Water Falls:
The rocky riverbed and landscapes around the Dainthlen Waterfalls are the scare of a legendary battle between a Giant serpent (thlen) and the people of the land . The Khasi mythical take on the universal struggle between Good And Evil. Eventually, the monstrous (thlen) was finally killed by courage and guile. Today, this behemoth live on as a common metaphor for greed. The battle gave the waterfall its name, Dainthlen - where the "thlen was. vanquished" plunging almost 300 feet. Dainthlen falls lives up to its dramatic name with its gushing water and deafening roar. Visitors are advised to head downstream to the Wei-saw-Dong falls. a tiered waterfall set in a fairy-tale tropical setting.
