Johnlite JML9900 8-in-1 Emergency Fan/Light

Описание: A Johnlite 8-in-1 Emergency Fan/Light unit model JML9900. This is made by 'John Manufacturing Ltd', which I've never heard of before and is ridiculous generic and suspicious. I suspect it is a Chinese company that made a lousy attempt at trying to seem American. I also suspect that the other similar unit I have, the JML9240, is made by the same OEM.

The packaging for this unit advertises it as a product for emergency use and has graphics and words on the box that advertise it quite typically. Some of the images were clearly generated with very early computer software and are comically dumb. The box for the JML9240 makes it look like some type of bizarre Christmas decoration.

Certain aspects such as the radio control and the fluorescent light appear to be identical to the 9240. I cannot confirm, but I suspect the charger is also identical as the same battery is shared between the two units and I vaguely remember this charger from back in the day. The original charger for the 9240 has long disappeared, perhaps it even broke which is why it disappeared.

There is a notable improvement in the fan on this unit compared to the other one. It actually moves enough air to be useful in a variety of scenarios. I have no idea how long it lasts per charge, but I have a feeling it's not too long. Both units are powered by a 4 aH lead acid 6-volt rechargeable battery.
