Two new Mizuno drivers have them all. The ST-Z 220 by Mizuno is a skilled player’s driver made with multiple high tech features. These include a carbon fiber crown and sole pieces, a 20g tungsten weight in the rear and the proprietary “wave sole” to help the face act like a trampoline and maintain ball speed even on low face strikes. The ST-Z is Mizuno’s most played driver on tour and it’s meant for long and straight bombs for those with faster swing speeds. It’s super forgiving for such a neutral flight and low spin style head. Its Forged Beta Titanium face is super strong and resilient with a CORTECH multi-thickness design to increase ball speeds across the face. Its adjustability affords the player to fine tune their launch and trajectory. This club is a 460cc head designed to launch higher while still maintaining a low/mid spin performance. This driver is for mid to low handicaps and skilled fast swingers of the driver.

The ST-X is designed, perhaps, for a broader demographic of players with regular or slow swing speeds. It’s designed to be a slice fighter. The ST-X 220 is a draw biased driver with a 20 gram tungsten weight pushed toward the heel within the 460cc head. This design also helps promote a higher ball flight. This higher ball flight coupled with the draw bias will increase distance. The head has the same features from the ST-Z 220: Forged Beta Titanium face with CORTECH, quick adjustability for launch and trajectory customization, carbon fiber crown and sole pieces, and the “wave sole” to protect ball speeds on missed hits lower on the face. This driver delivers more spin than the ST-Z to provide higher flight and draw to roll out farther.

Both clubs are extremely forgiving for point and shoot simplicity and have been engineered for solid feel and sound.
