Unpopular Opinion: The Toro Multiforce does a better job than a truck plow when it comes to residential snow removal. It’s far more maneuverable, can get into tight or odd spaces and leaves a cleaner finish. Of course there are caveats - a truck plow will clear a driveway faster if you’re doing JUST driveways. But if you offer full service, ie shoveling in front of the garage, the walkway and the sidewalk, then the total time on site is essentially the same when comparing both options but the Multiforce is going to leave a better finish. And for residential, that’s all the client cares about.
After a season of running the Western Wideout on my F250, this is the conclusion I’ve drawn. I love my Wideout for parking lots and commercial sites in general, but the Toro is my preference on my residential side. All told - I’m fortunate to have both options.
