Project Diablo 2 (PD2) Season 12 Closed Beta: Frenzy/Zerk Barbarian Melee Splash Damage TEST

In this video, we're putting the new Melee Splash Damage mechanics to the ultimate test with a fully-geared Frenzy Barbarian. I expected the splash damage to feel underwhelming, but this build completely blew me away. It cuts through monster packs like butter, making it both a single-target and multi-target machine! I've honestly never felt this level of combined offense and defense on a single character in PD2, allowing me to dive into massive packs without fear of being overwhelmed.

To show the build's versatility, we test the damage in two main phases. First, we tackle a map with the Barbarian solo, showcasing the raw power without any mercenary support. After that, I detail the gear on the mercenary before we head into a second map with the full setup. This shows the incredible synergy when both are fully geared. This character is decked out with the highest-level gear the Closed Beta allows, demonstrating the end-game potential you can chase throughout Season 12.

While this may not be a realistic starting point, it gives you a glimpse of the terrifying power this build achieves once it's fully optimized. It proves the melee splash is in a really good spot and makes the Frenzy Barbarian a viable end-game clearer! I'm sure I didn't completely optimize the character, so there is even more room for growth on Mapping and Bossing.
