Abandoned Aldridge Saw Mill - Texas

Описание: Deep in Eastern Texas's woods down a narrow dirt road, the tall trees stand silent camouflaging our target. With the local's help, we get back on track and take the one road we thought for certain wasn’t the right one.
The Aldridge Sawmill has done well to blend into its surroundings after being abandoned for over 100 years. Across a shallow pond with weaving branches protruding from its surface, the mill's reflection looms eerily waiting. Three large concrete buildings still stand wearing the scars that time is more than happy to inflict.
Vast open rooms that once housed machinery and workers now stand void of activity. The roof of the main building has long departed, allowing nature to take refuge.
A short walk through the thickets reveals foundations of another structure filled with concrete blocks resembling rows of headstones. We are not sure if this was the railway station.
This site is one we are thrilled we found. It is awe-inspiring, and we hope it stays standing long into the future for many more explorers to enjoy.
