Описание: Diyasaru Park is a natural sanctuary, located in the heart of Colombo. Established as an official park on 3rd October 2017, Diyasaru park is well known for the bio diversity within its limits, in the midst of one of the busiest of Sri Lanka. With an area of around 60 acres, this urban wetland park is located in Thalawathugoda of Sri Jayawardanapura, Colombo District, Sri Lanka. It comprises of a range of wetland habitats such as marshes, flooded woodlands, and water ponds which provide homes to many flora and fauna in a single eco system.
The beautiful landscape and well grounded infrastructure gives the perfect opportunity for nature and animal lovers to spend valuable time in the calming environment of the park. Admired mainly by the bird watchers, Diyasaru park attracts many people in the Colombo city for a refreshing walk giving the best experience of urban wildlife.
With a unique distribution of land and water, the park provides residence and habitat to many birds, Mammals, amphibians, reptiles, insects and even predators.
