(5 Apr 1994) Heavy artillery was withdrawn from the front line in Krajina on
Tuesday (4/4), after three years of conflict in the region. A
truce agreed on March 29 called for the Serb and Croat sides to
withdraw artillery and other heavy weapons 20 kilometres from the
frontline by 0900 local Tuesday and to pull back infantry 1,000
metres by Friday. In some areas both armies were seen withdrawing
heavy weapons ahead of the deadline.
