Gold and silver prices have witnessed a sharp decline this week, bringing relief to buyers and creating concern among investors. Prices of gold have dropped by nearly ₹10,000+ in a week, while silver has also seen a significant fall.

Experts say the decline is mainly due to the strong US dollar, strict Federal Reserve policies, and profit booking by investors. Despite global tensions and rising crude oil prices, which usually support gold, the market trend appears weak for now.

On the MCX (Multi Commodity Exchange), gold closed around ₹1,44,825 per 10 grams, but saw a major weekly drop. Silver prices also declined significantly on a weekly basis.

With the wedding season approaching, customers are now rushing to jewellery shops to take advantage of lower prices. However, experts warn that the market may remain volatile, so investors should stay cautious.
