I was stationed in Aviano Italy, with the U.S. Air Force around 1963-64. I was an aircraft mechanic with a missile fuel system specialist certification, which happened to be, the 'air to air' refueling job for sergeant and above rank. Also at that time, I had my father's large family living in Rome Italy which I visited twice during my one-year tour of duty in Aviano Italy. After acquiring a special military rest and recuperation vacation pass, I would spend two weeks with each visit.
