Detlev Glanert's musical fairy tale DIE DREI RÄTSEL (The Three Riddles) celebrated its Berlin premiere at the weekend with a wonderful coming-of-age story.

Over 130 children, teenagers and young adults on stage and in the orchestra pit, together with ensemble soloists and orchestra musicians from the theatre, present a charming and colourful opera grotesque full of verve and joie de vivre. Both the audience and the press are completely blown away.

Further performances will take place on 17 October (11 a.m. / 6 p.m.) and 19 October (2 p.m. / 6 p.m.) 2025, as well as on 13 and 15 February 2026

Under the musical direction of Dominic Limburg with Milla Luisa Dell' Anna, Ksenia Cheskis, Emil Vandersee, Jonathan Betzold, Martina Baroni, Philipp Jekal, Chance Jonas-O'Toole, Joel Allison, Byung Gil Kim, Maria Vasilevskaya, Alexandra Oomens, the Youth and Children's Chorus of the Deutsche Oper Berlin as well as musicians from the Landesjugendorchester, the UDK Berlin, the Arndt-Gymnasium Dahlem, the Musikschule Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg and the Musikschule City West and the Orchestra of the Deutsche Oper Berlin.
