Graduated in Rome under the exceptional guidance of Giuseppe Selmi (first cellist of the Italian Radio Symphony Orchestra)
He continued his studies in Cologne at the Musikhochschule with the famous concert artist G. Cassado, who taught him the secrets of the "bel canto", the most important works written for the instrument and above all the understanding of musical styles.
Winner a few prizes in international competitions, in the 1970 becomes the first cello of the Scala's orchestra in Milan.
Alongside numerous solo and chamber concerts throughout Europe, United States and Asia, he has devoted himself to teaching both at the Milan Conservatory and in numerous master's programs in Italy and abroad.
