You may have heard the name Pul Sirat, but very few truly understand its reality. This bridge is not a journey of one or two hours; it is described as being equal to a path of fifteen thousand years. There will be no light on this bridge, only deep darkness on every side. It is not built over any sea or river, but stretched across Jahannam (Hell).
The question is, how will people cross it? According to narrations, those who lived with true faith and righteous deeds will be granted noor (divine light). That light will guide them, allowing them to cross this extremely long bridge in just a few moments.
But those burdened with sins will slip and fall into Jahannam so deep that they will never return. That fall will become their place of punishment.
O Allah, make this path easy for all of us. Ameen.
