This video features a compilation of an entire journey onboard 12621 Chennai Central New Delhi Tamil Nadu Express.

Tamil Nadu Express and an #Erode WAP-4 are a match made in heaven. No wonder my grin widened when I found Erode #22698 in charge on my day.

Being one of the most pampered and loved trains of #SouthernRailways it had top class maintainence. I was travelling in the Second AC part of the HA1 coach which was in the absolute rear of the rake .

We depart Chennai platform #7 bang of time at 10 pm and soon pick up pace enroute Vijayawada. Next morning, I wake up to find ourselves cruising through the north eastern parts of Telangana state. Brisk skips of #Khammam and #Dornakal follow and we end up at #Warrangal at around 7:20 am, marginally late.

This delay meant nothing as arrived at our next stop, #Balharsah well ahead of time. The route to Balharshah features two rivers in River #Godavari and River #Wardha along with forests and small rocky hillocks.

The forests keep featuring, specifically because of our proximity to the #Tadoba Tiger Reserve while we cross a few premium trains and skip a few stations to end up at #Nagpur at 2:10 pm. The humungous #Sewagram curve is however another attraction in this section. Lunch is served and I also happen to meet Sreevardhan Kekatpure, a very friendly and cheerful person and most importantly a fellow railway lover.

The Nagpur Itarsi section brings us the most beautiful part of the journey though. We pass through three consecutive ghats sections in #Teegaon - #Chichonda ghats, #Dharakoh - #Maramjhiri ghats and lastly the short ghat section around #Kesla through the #Satpura range. Monsoon adds to the beauty and we encounter some stunning views amidst sharp spells of rainfall. It's also during this part of the journey that I meet another a avid railway lover in Deepak Kumar from Bengaluru.

It gets dark by #Itarsi and by the time we depart #Bhopal it's 9pm on the clock. End of Day-2.

I wake up to a surprise next morning to find ourselves brutally overtaken by the #Mumbai Special #Rajdhani near #Mathura. Soon the #Bhopal #Shatabdi crosses followed by the flurry of morning departures from Delhi.

It's only at 8:20 am that we stroll into New Delhi getting delayed in only the last part of an otherwise flawless and memorable journey.
