I hope I have retold the story of this sad tragedy with both sensitivity and accuracy.
I must especially thank Lt Col Brian Cuthbert - Imrie for allowing me to use material from his Facebook page ‘King’s Seat Hill Spitfires’ and for taking the time to meet with me in person and to help put this film together.
Huge thanks also to Chris Cairns. Chris produced a lovely film (also available on the King’s Seat Hill Facebook page) covering the story behind the cairn, its building and unveiling.
He credits all those involved in the cairn building at the end of the film. Some of his material has been reproduced on this film.
I must also express my huge gratitude to the families of these young men who have passed on family archive photographs for their inclusion onto the King’s Seat Hill Facebook page. Several of these images are within this film.
