Описание: The Silver Jubilee Bus Terminus, also known as Erode Central Bus Station, is a major bus terminal in Erode, Tamil Nadu, India. It is situated near Swastik Circle, where Mettur Road and Sathy Road intersect, approximately 3 kilometers north of Erode Junction Railway Station. It ranks as the third-largest bus terminal in Tamil Nadu, after the Chennai Koyambedu and Madurai Mattuthavani bus stations.

The Central Bus Station was established in 1973 and named the Independence Day Silver Jubilee Bus Terminus to mark the 25th anniversary of India's Independence. While it began operations in 1973, the main terminal building was only completed in 1980. A second terminal building followed in 1982, and the station was further expanded in 2003 with a dedicated terminal for town (intra-city) bus services. In 2011, an additional terminal was introduced for intra-city minibus services. Located centrally in the city, the station features two entry and two exit gates. Owned and maintained by the Erode City Municipal Corporation, the entire facility spans 12 acres (49,000 m²) and has parking space for about 200 buses at a time.

This Class-A Bus Station serves both intra-city and inter-city routes, featuring 8 bus fingers, 13 platforms, and 120 bus bays. It operates as an integrated facility with three terminals: Mofussil Bus Stand, City Bus Stand, and Minibus Stand. The Mofussil Terminal has 75 bays for outstation buses, organized into 5 platforms with 15 bays each. The Town Bus Terminal has 35 parallel bays across 6 platforms for intra-city services, while the Minibus Terminal includes 10 bays in a single bus finger for minibus operations. Buses from this station connect to major towns across Tamil Nadu and key destinations in Karnataka, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, and Puducherry. In 2006, the terminal served around 40,000 to 50,000 passengers daily. By 2014, it handled about 4,200 bus services, comprising 2,530 intercity services (Mofussil) and 1,640 city bus services. Additionally, 65 minibuses and 268 private buses operate multiple services from this station.

The bus station operates multiple platforms serving a wide variety of routes. Platform 1 is designated for buses waiting for their scheduled departure or on halt. Platform 2 serves long-distance routes including destinations such as Coimbatore, Tirupur, Ooty, Chennai, Bengaluru, Tirupati, Ernakulam, Puducherry, Palani, Mysuru, and Gobichettipalayam.

Platform 3 handles routes to Karur, Trichy, Madurai, Thoothukudi, Tirunelveli, Rameshwaram, Thanjavur, Velankanni, Kumbakonam, Mayiladuthurai, Kanyakumari, and Oddanchatram. Platform 4 is for buses heading towards Salem, Namakkal, Vilupuram, Rasipuram, Cuddalore, Vellore, Attur, Kallakurichi, and Chidambaram.

Platform 5 serves regional routes to Dharmapuri, Bhavani, Anthiyur, Mettur, Ammapettai, and Mecheri. Platforms 6 through 8 are reserved for city bus services, with Platform 6 serving routes to Perundurai, Chennimalai, Arachalur, Sivagiri, and Solar, while Platforms 7 and 8 cover routes to Bhavani, Komarapalayam, Chithode, BP Agraharam, Pallipalayam, Tiruchengode, and Sankagiri.

Platforms 9 and 10 are dedicated to additional city bus services. Platform 11 specifically caters to city buses traveling towards Erode Junction, P.S. Park, Surampatti, and Thanthai Periyar GH. Finally, Platforms 12 and 13 are reserved for city minibus services.

The bus station has been upgraded with modern features, including concrete flooring, high mast lamps, and the addition of extension counters, e-governance services, and bank ATMs.

It also offers an air-conditioned passenger waiting hall, a reverse osmosis water treatment plant, and a dedicated terminal for mini-buses. An underground parking facility has been built for two-wheelers, and a multi-level shopping complex has been developed, which includes additional public convenience facilities within the complex.
