Broken hearts and fragile lives in Gulf as US Trump warns 'hardest hits' on Iran 'yet to come'

Описание: Speaking at the White House for the first time since attacking Iran, Donald Trump said he took the decision to launch a war against Iran because it was the "last, best chance" to stop its regime.

But for people living in Iran and the Gulf, no one knows where this war is heading.

At the Kapikoy border crossing between Iran and Turkey, devastated people have been seen crossing the land border into Turkey, seeking refuge from the bombardment that continues to rock their country.

A mass displacement is meanwhile underway in southern Lebanon as residents fleeing along highway, following Israeli strikes that have killed at least 31 people.


As the strikes enter their third day, the ripple effects are being felt across the Gulf.

On the Israeli side, at least nine people were killed in the attack on 1 March, marking the deadliest strike in the country since the war began.

The military campaign, dubbed "Operation Epic Fury," is showing no signs of abating.

Trump has said US is continuing to carry out "large-scale combat operations" - more than 1,250 targets have already been struck.

He had also vowed to avenge for US troops killed in Iranian attacks.
