In the finale of Heated Rivalry Season 1, Shane Hollander comes out as gay to his parents and introduces Ilya Rozanov as his boyfriend. 

Shane's father discovers Shane and Ilya together at the family cottage, prompting the pair to go to Shane's parents' house.

Shane confesses to his parents that he is in a relationship with Ilya.

His parents, Yuna and David Hollander, are initially shocked by the secrecy but immediately supportive of their son's sexuality and his relationship.

Yuna apologizes for making Shane feel he had to lie, and the family begins making plans for the couple's future, including a potential team transfer for Ilya and starting a charity together.
