Amid the ongoing crisis in the conflict-hit Ukraine, stranded Indians are still waiting for their turn to be safely evacuated from Ukraine. Russia invaded Ukraine on 24th February and a massive operation was launched to bring back Indian citizens who are stranded in Ukraine. A medical student was killed after shelling in Ukraine's Kharkiv. PM Modi spoke to Russian President Putin over the safe evacuation of Indian citizens from the war-hit zone in Ukraine.
In the past few days, several flights were sent into the neighbouring countries through which Indian students and Indian nationals are being brought back into the country.
