Описание: Here is an all-time classic solo by the great swing, blues, and bebop guitarist Bill Jennings, who recorded “Big Boy” with Bill Doggett’s band in 1954. This is a well known and often copied (and rightfully so!) solo in blues guitar circles. Bill Jennings is the only jazz guitarist I can think of that played left handed, upside down without switching the strings around (like blues greats Albert King and Otis Rush), which makes for some interesting fingering when copping his awesome bebop licks. Not sure what guitar he is using, but since I see pics of him in the ‘50s holding a funky Gretsch archtop with two pick-guards and two Dynasonics, I’m playing my 1961 Guild X500 with the same pickups (The Guild versions were white).
