Everything about Limberlost Place centres around student well-being. That includes maximizing fresh air and natural light and creating classroom and social spaces that suit a range of learning preferences and the neurodiversity of students.
George Brown College is demonstrating what a new kind of public institutional building can look like. As Carol Phillips, partner at Moriyama Teshima Architects, says, this project is a chance to "change culture.” Limberlost Place also presents an amazing learning opportunity. A group of students from GBC's Construction Engineering Technology program recently toured Limberlost Place to get a firsthand look at the leading-edge and sustainable construction materials and techniques and speak with the design and construction professionals bringing this incredible project to life.
