Great to go backpacking on snow again with my friend Kevin. Had a slight scare to start when we arrived at our camp destination after sunset in windy cold conditions and realized Kevin had forgot the poles to his tent. My tent was just a one person, but luckily he figured out a way to rig up his tent nicely with the help of some friendly trees and his splitboard poles.
After that it was all good times! We were able to have a nice fire both nights out there thanks to abundant dead trees near camp and a trusty little silky saw. Finding good snow to ride was a little challenging since it was old snow and it didn't get that warm. Luckily though we found some rippable snow and fun lines on the steep south facing aspects and a nice long ridge run I have never ridden before. Epic trip overall and looking forward to getting back out there when possible after recent massive snowfalls. Going to be a hell of a spring season!
