'Run with Me' is about those friends that are by your side at all times and lift you up whatever you're going through. Dogs are often that exact type of friend for people and we wanted to make a video that was uplifting and fun but also delivered the message that there are so many dogs in shelters and rescue centres that just need loving homes. We absolutely loved making this video and we hope people not only enjoy watching it but also consider giving a rescue dog a home and having that dog give them their unconditional love and friendship in return. A bit more about rehoming from the Dogs Trust...

The first step in adopting a dog from Dogs Trust is to visit your nearest Rehoming Centre.

During this first visit Dogs Trust will take a few details from you so they know what you are looking for. You will be able to visit the dogs and they will advise you on how to find the right dog for your circumstance and whether your circumstances will work for the dog too.

They would like you to get to know your chosen dog before you take him home so, if you have any other dogs or family members, you will need to bring them along for a further visit to ensure the whole family is happy with the decision to adopt.

There is a fee for adopting a dog. Every dog is vet checked, vaccinated, microchipped, neutered and has six weeks pet insurance from Allianz, and a starter bag of food as well as a very cool Dogs Trust lead and collar!

The last step before you can take your dog home is a Pre-Adoption Talk. This ensures you are aware of the responsibilities of dog ownership and reminds you that Dogs Trust are always there when you need them.
