DESCRIPTION:
This is a very unusual Android smartwatch. It was brought in as an alternative to many of the dressy round watches by being roughly square in design yet sporting a leather band. What a shock when it appeared with bands that were removable and with a little antenna dongle sticking out of the bottom. It also became quite a shock during this review when it became clear that there was no Google software on it. No Play Store, no “OK Google” (Google Play Services), no Google maps or Google music or Google anything.

Without the Play Store there would be no way to install Android apps on this 8GB Android watch. Well, that prompted a Part 2 to this review on how to install apps anyway. So stay tuned for that. In the mean time, this review will cover the basic operation of the HU-11S. Once Part 2 is complete, I’ll post the link here: (pending)
