Coverage from Barrow Hill Roundhouse's Rail 200 celebration gala.
2025 marked the 200th year of the modern railway with the opening of the Stockton & Darlington Railway in 1825. With many heritage centres up and down the country celebrating the occasion like this event at Barrow Hill.
The event showcased many locos old and new including A3 Pacific 60103 'Flying Scotsman' and new freight locomotives, GBRf Class 99002 and 93002. 55009 'Alycidon', D7659 and 20066 worked the demonstration line along with Peckett No.2000 in top and tail formation.
An enjoyable day with @brunelheritage, a first time visit for me at Barrow Hill Roundhouse.
