North Korea's foreign minister has been extra busy this year at the UN General Assembly in New York.
Ri Yong-ho... met with his American counterpart on Wednesday.
Mike Pompeo accepted North Korean leader Kim Jong-un's invitation for a fourth visit to Pyeongyang.
Ri also sat down with top diplomats from Japan, China, and Russia,... countries highly relevant to the Korean Peninsula.
It is very rare for Pyeongyang's officials to hold meetings with other country's foreign ministers on the sidelines of the General Assembly.
Watchers say its increased dialogue with neighboring nations reflects the recent positive developments on the Korean Peninsula achieved through the regime's series of summits with Seoul and Washington.
Ri Yong-ho is set to deliver his keynote speech on Saturday.
