When the plastic couplings broke on both my pool poles, I knew they wouldn't glue successfully, so I purchased a new pole. Then my clever wife found a replacement kit for around $5 CDN, so now I have three pool poles! Installing the kit is easy enough, except for getting the old glued-on part off. Using a plastic plumbing pipe as a tool prevents possible damage to the aluminium pole. Here's how.
