Growing up In Brooklyn, NY in the 1960s, Dave Liebman could not help but be inspired by the music of his time, both jazz and rock & roll. This led him to new paths in the world of jazz, forging new foundations with other pioneers like Elvin Jones and Miles Davis. Dave has gone on to be a prominent solo artist, author, and composer. He is an artist-in-residence at the Manhattan School of Music and helped found the IASJ (International Association of Schools of Jazz) and is a NEA Jazz Master. Enjoy Dave tell his story.
