Описание: PA National Director of Public Prosecutions, Advocate Shamila Batohi, delivered highly anticipated testimony at the Nkabinde Inquiry into the fitness of Gauteng DPP Advocate Andrew Chauke to hold office.

Now, Advocate Tembeka Ngcukaitobi SC, will cross-examine Batohi on behalf of Chauke.

Chauke, suspended by President Cyril Ramaphosa in July 2023, has held the Gauteng DPP post since 2011. Batohi’s testimony is expected to shed new light on the alleged obstruction of high-profile cases and the integrity of prosecutorial decision-making within the NPA.
