Harpal Cheema says two government labs found Bhagwant Mann videos fake but withholds names

Описание: According to a report by The Tribune, Punjab Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema claimed that two government laboratories had found the controversial videos allegedly linked to Bhagwant Mann to be fake. However, he declined to reveal the names of the laboratories, saying doing so could expose them to pressure.

This comes amid a sharp dispute with the Akal Takht, whose acting Jathedar, Giani Kuldeep Singh Gargaj, has publicly stated that forensic examinations by two government-recognized laboratories found the videos authentic and not AI-generated.

The AAP government's position remains that:

The Chief Minister is not the person seen in the videos.
The videos are either fake or being misrepresented.
Questions remain over the forensic findings cited by Akal Takht.

Meanwhile, the controversy has intensified after Akal Takht declared Bhagwant Mann "Guru Dokhi" and "Khalsa Panth Virodhi" over the issue and summoned Sikh ministers and MLAs regarding the matter. AAP has rejected the declaration and described the controversy as politically motivated.
