The Shahpar-II Block II, showcased at World Defense Show 2026 in Riyadh, represents Pakistan’s latest advancement in medium-altitude long-endurance unmanned combat aerial vehicles. Developed by Global Industrial and Defence Solutions (GIDS), this upgraded variant builds upon earlier Shahpar platforms and integrates ISR and strike capabilities into a single multi-role system.

Measuring approximately 8 m in length with a 9.45 m wingspan and a maximum takeoff weight of up to 1,125 kg (depending on configuration), the Shahpar-II Block II is powered by a 140 hp turbocharged piston engine in a pusher configuration with canard surfaces for added stability. It reaches speeds of up to 220 km/h, cruises at 150–160 km/h, and operates at ceilings of 25,000 ft (ISR mode) or around 22,000 ft when armed.

Endurance reaches up to 20 hours in surveillance configuration, 15 hours with a 60 kg external load, and approximately 12 hours at its maximum 120 kg payload capacity. The platform supports 75 kg internal payloads and four external hardpoints carrying up to 120 kg total, including laser-guided munitions such as the Burq series.

Equipped with EO/IR systems like the Zumr-II turret, real-time video downlink, potential SAR integration, and LOS datalinks up to 250 km (with SATCOM extending operational reach to approximately 1,500 km), the Shahpar-II Block II supports autonomous takeoff and landing, waypoint navigation, and precision strike operations.

Designed as a Group 4+ MALE system, it serves roles including border security, counter-terrorism, maritime patrol, ISR, and precision strike missions. Its unveiling at WDS 2026 signals Pakistan’s continued push toward self-reliant unmanned airpower and expanding presence in the global defense export market.
