This is a video I've been wanting to do for a long time. Ever since I moved to Kansas, I've wanted to tell the story of the first capital of Kansas (Territory). It's a fascinating history for a town that has less than 600 people today. Not only was it the territorial capital, it had many debates around the Civil War. We talk with a local expert who tells us the details of these stories. I also show you around present-day Lecompton, which is a nice little town to visit!
