Lenny Hadaway was introduced to Sid Bucknor by Vic Carey at Chalk Farm studios in Camden London. It was for an artist named Roy Alton who was contracted by Sunny Roberts for Orbitone Records on Station Road, Willesden Junction in North West London.
The song was a tribute for the David & Frederick’s Hurricanes in Dominica. And then another was recorded called 'Iron Lady' in commemoration's to the late Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher.
Sid was flown specially here to England by Vic Carey to engineer Dub music as that was the trend/fashion of the UK sound. He was one of the pioneers who built Studio One in Jamaica for artists such as: Bob Marley, Bunny Wailer, Peter Tosh and many more.
You’ll find a large discography of Sid’s works online. Dad and Sid built a grounded and solid relationship throughout the years. Sid is very well missed. Blessings to you Sid.
