Denmark & Greenland Reject U.S. Threats, Push Arctic Security

Описание: Denmark and Greenland have emphasized stronger Arctic security cooperation with the United States while firmly rejecting any threats to Greenland’s sovereignty.

Speaking after talks with US Vice President JD Vance and Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Danish Foreign Minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen confirmed Copenhagen is ready to expand military capabilities in the Arctic. He stressed that Greenland’s long-term security can be maintained under existing NATO and defence agreements.

The discussions come amid renewed US interest in Greenland’s strategic importance, highlighting growing geopolitical tensions in the Arctic region.
