Ever have a desire appear that is almost impossible to ignore? Ever let a word or a few words 'just slip out'? In this text, Paul shifts from the right thinking (orthodoxy) from chapters 1-2 to right living (orthopraxy). This week we look at the first few verses of chapter 3, and Paul's command, encouragement, and reminder that we're to put off, die to, the old way of living. Particularly here, Paul emphasizes old cravings (deep desires that won't go away) and old sayings (things that just slip out). And he gives us a way forward, in Christ, as always.
