Описание: This is a quick demonstration of my Pulsating Jig. I made it a few years ago and have recovered a lot of sapphires and some gold with it. I made it for less than Au$100. It can be run with a 18 volt cordless drill or can be operated just as well by hand. Normally I would run it with the drill and slowly feed wash into the top chute. There is a 3mm screen in the bottom of the jig bed. The pulsing of the water concentrates heavier gemstones and gold down to the screen while sand and lighter materials flow past the jig bed. Gemstones and gold smaller than 3 mm are concentrated in the tank while water, silt and small sand exit out of the small waste outlet underneath. The legs are easily removed and the main part can be carried by one person. In some states it should qualify as a “hand operated tool” on fossicking fields when operated by hand. It was fairly easy to make, you would just need some metalwork and welding skills. Parts like block bearings, belts and pulleys are readily available or very cheap to buy on eBay.
