Earlier this week, the Gauteng High Court gave the City of Johannesburg a two-week deadline to verify street vendors and allocate them trading stalls in the CBD.
The city has been working to clean up the city centre, including ensuring that informal traders operate only in designated zones.
City officials visited the CBD on Thursday to encourage informal traders to register.
