Losartan (also known as Cozaar) is a medication used to treat hypertension (high blood pressure) and diabetic nephropathy (kidney disease due to diabetes). Losartan is an Angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB), and acts to reduce Angiotensin II functioning, which leads to vasodilation and reduced blood pressure. Some common side effects of Losartan include headache and dizziness, but Losartan can also cause other weird and strange side effects, which we will discuss in this lesson.
