Note : For Vegan use Coconut oil in the place of Ghee (Clarified butter)

Ingredients:
2 cups Basmati Rice (washed and soaked for 20 mins and drained)
1 medium size Onion, thinly sliced
2 tbsp Ghee or Unsalted Butter
1 cup Coconut Milk (freshly made from 1/2 of the coconut or canned coconut milk)
Water
1 stalk of Lemongrass, broken into pieces or Pandan leaves (optional)
3 Cardamom
3 Cloves
4 Black Pepper corns
2 inch Cinnamon Stick
1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
1 tsp Salt (as required)

Tempering (optional)
1 tbsp Ghee or Unsalted butter
8 to 10 Cashew nuts
1 tbsp Raisins
