This video reports on the results of the fluid analysis of the engine oil, transmission fluid, transfer case fluid, rear differential fluid, and power steering fluid of this 1995 F-250. It was important to get baseline values of these original fluids in order to both evaluate the effectiveness of any corrective actions and lubricant changes, as well as asses the condition of these components to paint a picture of how they were maintained.
Viewing them in their entirety, this 1995 F-250 is in great condition and I believe that I've gotten to these various major systems just in time before one or more of them would need major repair. After investing in a used vehicle, it's imperative its condition be fully assessed and it's major components be brought back up to OEM levels of maintenance and performance so that it doesn't give you any unwelcome surprises down the road.
