Inclusive education begins long before a teacher enters the classroom.
India has strong laws and clear policies that advocate inclusion, yet many children still remain on the margins of learning. The gap is not about intent, it is about how inclusion is understood and practised in real classrooms. Bridging this gap requires moving beyond policy awareness to practical, classroom-ready understanding.
To address this, Sterlite EdIndia Foundation, in collaboration with Sol’s ARC, is launching the Foundation of Inclusive Education course. Designed especially for pre-service teachers, this self-paced, the learning experience focuses on clarifying what inclusion truly means, how policies translate into practice, and what educators can do to create classrooms where every learner can meaningfully participate.
Grounded in policy, informed by classroom realities, and built with a practical lens, the course supports future educators in being prepared, reflective, and responsive from the very start of their teaching journey.
Because inclusion works best when educators are prepared before practice begins.
