This game is well-known for a double play that could’ve almost been a triple play, but the umpire missed the tag at the runner at second which would’ve made it an official triple play. Had this call been made, it would’ve been the second triple play in World Series history. This game is also known for Atlanta Braves manager Bobby Cox’s ejection from this game during the top of the 9th inning after throwing a helmet onto the field and complained about umpire Joe West’s calls.
